Muncie Downtown Development Partnership is an active conduit connecting people to a better quality of life through everything downtown has to offer. MDDP plays a key role in creating a vibrant place where people love to live, work and play. MDDP’s purpose is to provide a sense of connectedness to a community in which everyone can come together and feel like they belong through empowering, utilizing and enhancing the assets our community has to offer. MDDP is making an impact in our community and creating a better quality of life throughout our downtown.

Meet the Team
Amanda Holmquist
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Amanda Holmquist serves as Executive Director of Muncie Downtown Development Partnership, bringing a background in marketing, communications, nonprofit leadership and community engagement to the role. A lifelong Muncie resident, Amanda is passionate about building strong relationships, bringing people together and finding creative ways to tell Muncie’s story.
In her role with MDDP, Amanda works alongside downtown businesses, community partners and local leaders to support a vibrant Downtown Muncie and help shape what comes next. She especially enjoys seeing an idea turn into something tangible, whether it’s a new event, partnership, project or opportunity for the downtown community.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys thrifting, reading, true crime, and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband, Chad, have two children, Nellee and Landon.
Cheryl Crowder
EVENTS DIRECTOR
Cheryl Crowder has been a Muncie resident for over 40 years and has worked passionately on behalf of Downtown Muncie for the last 23 of those years. She was a downtown pioneer. With tireless dedication, Cheryl has created and executed hundreds of successful events downtown for the community.
With her caring personality, unique skill sets, creativity bent and institutional knowledge, she has played a crucial role in the revitalization and significant growth of Downtown Muncie. She is looking forward to a future of continued engagement and finding new ways to make Muncie Magic!
In her free time, Cheryl enjoys cheerleading downtown, thrifting, traveling, listening to live music, reading, homemaking, gardening and hanging out around a good fire.
