Magic City Sip & Savor comes to Downtown Muncie April 4
A new downtown tasting experience is coming to MadJax this spring, bringing together craft beverages, culinary creativity, music, and local makers for an afternoon celebrating the flavors and talent of the Muncie community.
Magic City Sip & Savor will take place Saturday, April 4, from 2–5 p.m. at MadJax in DWNTWN Muncie. Inspired by the spirit of the beloved Magic City Brewfest, the event expands the concept to include a broader range of beverages, food experiences, live music, and interactive maker moments, according to Cheryl Crowder, Events Director for Muncie Downtown Development Partnership
“Magic City Sip & Savor is designed to celebrate everything that makes DWNTWN Muncie magic — great drinks, great food, talented makers, and a strong sense of community,” Crowder said.
Guests attending Sip & Savor can expect:
A wide selection of craft beer, wine, distilled spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
Eight food samples from students in Ball State University’s Hospitality Innovation and Leadership program and Ivy Tech Community College’s School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management
Songwriter Sessions hosted by Lyn and Sally Fierce, featuring talented local musicians
Tribune Showprint Posters, offering attendees the opportunity to print their own Magic City Sip & Savor coaster
The Muncie Makers Market, featuring homemade foods and handcrafted art for purchase
Demos from The Aerial Annex and the Cornfed Roller Derby team
Karaoke with Mike Martin (Warm up those vocal cords for DWNTWN IDOL 2026!)
Guests will be able to sample pours from The Guardian Brewing Co., Half Moon Brewery, HopLore Brewing, Gnosis Brewing, Goshen Brewing Co., Cultured Urban Winery, West Fork Whiskey Co., RoHo’s Muncie, Floral Beverages, Elm Street Brewing Co., Four I’s Brew Club, Moon Drops Distillery, Oakley Brothers Distillery, and the Health Club.
Guests are also encouraged to explore the experiences inside the MadJax building, including Beyond I Can, The Aerial Annex, John Tom’s BBQ, and The Guardian Brewing Co., showcasing the creative energy housed within the venue.
Tickets include unlimited beverage samples, but guests should drink responsibly. Additionally, designated driver tickets are available.
A limited number of VIP tickets are also available. VIP guests will begin the afternoon with a pre-event reception at 7 Rock Brew, located two blocks north of MadJax. From 12:30–1:30 p.m., VIP ticketholders will enjoy complimentary food, exclusive brew samples, and a brewery tour before heading to MadJax for early admission to the main event.
Transportation between the locations will be provided by Alford Rods & Kustoms.
